There is a really nice court system, and upstairs are the courts. The kids area is in the front and segregated from the rest of the building, with high security. Some members express concerns about the maintenance of certain amenities, like the steam room and sauna, which they feel need better cleaning. Additionally, there are complaints about the inability to bring guests, which has led some to seek other gym options. The wet and dry sauna is an additional $20/month. Overall, the YMCA provides valuable services to the community, but improvements in cleanliness and guest policies are desired.
This is my home gym. I enjoy it a lot and LOVE the sauna and water facilities. I have yet to try the portage location but I would like to. The staff could be friendlier but I don't deal with them very much. If you're looking for a well priced gym that has everything you need and more... check out the Y.

Love the YMCA everyone helpful, friendly, and kind! I needed help to use app at Y and someone leaving helped me! Very positive stuff! Feels like family there! Great place for everyone! Meet CEO there at YMCA breakfast very down to earth! Everyone there cares about the community!
