Prein and Newhof are the project managers for the water pipe replacement project in the city and the township. Before they did anything, my easement was level, had grass, and didn't collect water runoff from the street. After they have completed their work, my easement now has turned into a makeshift collection reservoir any time it rains due to the improper grading and paving they did in front of my house. Signed a contract in July 2023, we were rezoned to a flood zone. Flood Insurance is crazy expensive! Had them out to survey it, hoping for a LOMA cert or even just a better rate since we would have actual numbers. I understood that they were busy and it'd be a few weeks before they could come out. Extremely unprofessional. Set up a "field office" in my private parking lot without so much as a word with me. My attempt to speak with the "pro" setting up said office resulted in him walking away both times I approached him, too busy on his phone apparently. Now it's either phone or computer as he is actually camped out with a chair for all the world like he has total control over that part of my lot. Of course, he's parked at the end nearest my door and not at the opposite end where he would not be in the way of my clients. If this is the way they do business, I think I would run far and fast.
