If I could give them no stars I would. I used Ceterus from 2018 thru 2021 for two businesses. Had numerous issues with Sales Tax filings and had the poor judgement to use them for personal tax filings. The head of the tax department is the worst. Had numerous tax filings submitted inaccurately and they can't substantiate the data. I am still having state and the federal tax agencies questioning my returns and penalizing me. They also won't stand up for their errors. What ever happened to accuracy and integrity. Use them at your own risk.

I was looking up my accountant online when this company that I worked with years ago popped up. Sigh. I guess I should tell folks about it. Please be careful if you work with them. Their practices seem almost intentionally obscure, and more than once it seemed pretty obvious that mistakes were made. When I voiced my concerns, they called to tell me I was taking 'cheap shots' at them, and dumped me from service. Which turned out.. to be a great thing! As soon as I found a more traditional accountant, not only was everything clearer... it was almost 50% cheaper. So... Thank you?

My first interaction with Ceterus was when they decided to make an unauthorized debit of $660 dollars from my bank account. Apparently they have taken over the financials for the company I rent from, and decided that they would not only cash my rent check, but also debit an additional month from my bank account. I spoke to an employee, Levi, who assured me this "wasn't his problem" and that although it was not his responsibility the money would be back in my account "within a couple days". After asking which company he worked for I was told "that doesn't matter". He also refused to provide me with his name, the name of his supervisor, or allow me to speak with him. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told he was "unavailable". When I asked if there was a more appropriate time I could call back I was told "No, there is no time you can call back". So basically this company took my bank account and routing number from a previous transaction, decided to debit money from my account unauthorized, and then gave me a huge attitude problem when I tried to fix it. I would definitely NOT recommend this company ever, and if they somehow get a hold of your bank account number, change it immediately.
