My 8 year old started as an ATA Tiger when he was 5 and loves it here! He loved martial arts and ATA provided a structured and safe outlet for him to learn and have fun. He has a learning delay in his early years which made it difficult for him to learn and speak. After attending ATA, his auditory skills along with visual instruction were noticeably improved (feedback from his teachers). This helped him focus on tasks at school and at home. He has become more confident, physically stronger, respectful and just happy. :) The school feels like a family with lots of support and encouragement. I highly recommend ATA!
My son has attended this school since he was about 7. He is now 12 and he has his 1st Degree Black Belt. Not once has he ever asked to stop going or that he didn't want to be a part of the Whately family. Mr and Ms. Whately treat ever person that walks through the door as if they were their family. My son has ADHD and all that goes with it. All the instructors have worked with him beyond what is expected. They are encouraging, thoughtful, hopeful, excited, loving and most of all - they never give up on anyone. He has learned more than martial arts from this school. He has learned respect, honesty, perseverance, strength, confidence, self-esteem and how to be empowered. At this school you will find a home, one you can be proud of and one you can always recommend to all your friends and family.
