Elara does not care. A home health aide text me a rude message about her losing out on an hour pay as my mother's hospice aide was going to be arriving a half hour early. The aide chose to leave before the hospice aide had arrived so she lost an hour due to her own choice. I understand people count on their ours and we definitely could have worked something out. Until I received a phone call from my mother and the hospice aide stating that the elara aide confronted my mother and was very rude to her and told my mother she wasted her time. I had problems from the very beginning with this service. The caregivers are not trained at all other than some videos. The behavior of their caregivers is downright unbelievable, ex, asking to shower, snapping photos for themselves, talking to family and friends while they should have been helping the client. I complained about the inappropriate behavior and ended up with them no longer accepting my calls!! I strongly suggest using a different service provider for your care or family member.
Elera Caring does NOT even deserve 1 star!!!!! My mother is home on hospice and they have been HORRIBLE! MOST of the nurses are rude and disrespectful, Emma especially!!!!! You would think you would have some good bedside manner for terminal cancer patients. They don't care. The nurse is supposed to check the oxygen tubing weekly. They went MONTHS without checking it. My mom had water in the tube, then she had to call for emergency help because the nurse didn't do her job. Most of the nurses had a condescending tone with my mom.
