I’m sad to see negative reviews, do not let my positive review negate their personal experiences!
I moved from my lifelong family doctor when I was in my mid twenties to Dr. Duthler, and it’s a switch I will NEVER regret. From my first appointment I felt heard, validated, and sincerely cared for. Throughout my years as a patient here, all of my medical concerns AND mental health concerns have been immediately addressed and cared for! I’ve also seen Amy Boone on a few occasions and she is also a great listened and gets issues solved!
I truly thank my care team at Corewell Health Georgetown! You guys have been a true blessing for me!

I believe there may be some unethical medical practices ongoing at this particular Corewell Health Facility. Perhaps a medical sleuth could put together a puzzle for me here?
Edit: This is WAY beyond your little patient relations fix. There are way larger entities looking out for me now. Good luck!

Update posted August 29th, 2025 In August 2025, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights (OCR) confirmed that Corewell Health violated HIPAA in connection with medical records involving my disabled child. The agency reported that corrective action was taken.
Other oversight bodies remain involved. As of this update, those broader reviews are still active.
Update posted August 4, 2025 3:30 PM Corewell Health’s public response used my full legal name, which is uncommon for them, and referenced a “recent visit.” For accuracy, my last documented appointment at that office was in February 2025. I will continue to share factual updates while state and federal agency reviews remain active.
I can’t speak for anyone else. But if this is how Corewell treats a disabled child’s caregiver, then the public has a right to know and regulators have a duty to ask whether this is part of a larger pattern.
(This is just one of several agencies now involved. I can’t help but wonder if this may be part of broader federal investigations.)

The doctor did not listen. She did not seem to care about the issues the patient was having. When speaking to the office manager to complain, she did not want to listen either. Oh she claimed to, but she interrupted me, she claimed that I was yelling(I was frustrated but not yelling, she also claimed that I was not trying to give a solution to the issue(even though I did), and she basically blamed me for the entire situation. At one point she hung up the phone on me. However, she did call me back to again claim we were disconnected. I do not believe this is a caring or listening facility.

There is multiple Doctors here. Most of them listen to your medical issues but I do feel like some of them just judge you.

Dr. Lirio is the best!! His nurse Jessica is always SO nice and welcoming too. We’ve been going here since my youngest was 18 months old and he’s now 11.5yrs. I can’t imagine another doctor for my kids and I’m so happy we found Ruel Lirio! I recommend him to any new parents. My husband and I also see Micheal Byars and he is the best doctor I’ve seen, he listens to everything without judgement. Him and the PA(Amy Boone) are very thorough.
