A little over 18 months ago at a regular cleaning DR. Hoard saw something unusual on my gum, he took a picture and shared it with a colleague , and they both agreed it should be biopsied. 2 months later I was in ICU recovering from a 7.5 hr surgery where they removed some of my jaw and replaced it with bone from my leg. I was diagnosed with stage 4 squamish cell carcinoma, it had not spread to the rest of my body. I am, still recovering but had it not been for Dr Hoard this story could have had a very different ending“
