“I would rate Platte Lake Vet a 3 stars if I only rated my visits today and yesterday. I gave them 5 stars because of the excellent care they have given our dogs over many years. Yesterday I brought our dog in for kidney stone evaluation. he is having an ultrasound today. Two things concerned me. In the past, the owners and animals were taken into an exam room to wait for the vet by themselves. This time all of the animals and owners stayed together in the waiting room until one by one, the animals were taken into the back. it made it very difficult because the animals were excited to meet each other and jumping all over everyone. After the animals were treated, the vet would bring them back and talk to the owner - in the waiting room. There was no privacy and it was very uncomfortable listening to the conversations between the owner and the vet. one conversation was about putting a cat to sleep. The policy makes waiting for the vet difficult because the animals are acting up, and discussions between the owner and vet should take place in private.“
