“I had a pretty good experience with Macatawa (I took segment 1 and segment 2 through them). As a student I really appreciated that they valued maturity and character, not just test scores. My segment 2 instructor did a good job at approaching topics we'd discussed previously (during segment 1) from a new perspective. The questions he asked about our experience and future with driving pushed me to truly consider if I was ready for my license, which was good because it's a big responsibility. Overall, it was a decent experience and the classroom instructors were very chill while also adequately teaching about the risks and responsibilities that come with driving.“

“Todd Gorsuch is a great driving instructor who always made me feel comfortable, even when I was nervous or made mistakes. He is attentive, patient, and clear, and gave me the confidence I needed to become a safer and more capable driver. He always provided constructive feedback in a supportive way. On the other hand, Dana Saunders was incredibly hostile to me from the start of the drive until the end. She was constantly insulting me, sighing at me, and not providing clear instructions. Safe to say I was shocked at the lack of professionalism from her.“
