The tears are flowing as I write this. My mom is 97, and has been seeing the same opthamolgist for years. For years, she has complained to him that she could not see clearly with her glasses, and he would tell her she was not using her dry eye drops enough, and that it was to be expected at her age. I convinced her to try an optometrist, and after much persuasion, she agreed. At 97, her mind is still sharp, but she moves slowly, and is very hard of hearing. The staff at Dr Martin’s office were all very kind, patient, and respectful. Dr Martin’s exam was very thorough, and she showed me how with the right Rx, mom could see the smallest print on the eye chart. She made suggestions as to what lenses would be most beneficial, and suggested a specific reading light. When we walked out of the office, my mother looked at me, and exclaimed, “It would be so wonderful if I could see to read again. I love to read, and I’ve missed it so.” I cannot thank Dr Martin, and her staff, enough!
I wasn't looking forward to my eye exam..... I was greeted @ the door and immediately taken into an exam room. Paperwork on my phone and a call in route to answer covid questions let me walk right in.Three different people examined or tested my eyes. All of my questions led to me understanding what the professionals were doing. I feel cared for, understood and grateful for all the humor to lighten it up for me.I'm coming back to pick out new glasses soon. I no longer dread going to the eye doctor. I'll be expecting more stellar service Dr. Martin. Your staff set a very high standard today!
