Wonderful replacement seat and back for my Amia chair. I waited months to decide, and now wish I didn't wait! I knew my chair pad was flat, but man, it was REALLY flat. Love the thickness and how it feels. So much better. Thanks y'all!
I bought a used Steelcase Amia chair from a local dealer (should have bought from Crandall Office Furniture) and the seat and back needed changing. So, I placed an order through Crandall Office Furniture picking out the colors and fabrics I wanted on their website. I figured it'd take a couple of weeks to get my order, but no. It took only a few days and I got a notice that my order had been shipped. They have a ton of Youtube videos showing me exactly how to remove the old back and seat and then install the new Upholstered seat and back. Took me about 30 minutes and I was back in business. We have eight Steelcase Leap 2 chairs in our library. Bought them 17 years ago, and they were still the best office chairs on campus. New carpet and paint are coming this summer, so the original orange fabric just wasn't going to work.
Found Crandall Office Furniture. Ordered new seats and backs; they arrived in a few days. Swapped all 8 in about 15 minutes, so easy. Put the old ones back in the boxes that the new ones came in, taped them up, and FedEx came and picked up. Done.
New seats are slightly thicker, which is nice. Good choices on fabrics. They look great. The whole process, from ordering to return, could not have been easier.
