We are so grateful for the care my dad received in the 8 months he was here. We as a family remained involved with my dad's care and his daily life, we found the staff nothing short of amazing. He required pretty constant around the clock care and we always found him clean and well cared for... we did have some issues getting him settled with a care team that did not know him well yet, but those growing pains were always addressed and handled to our satisfaction.Dad had so many friends in the residents as well as the staff. He was treated with love, appreciation and dignity. We took time to get to know some of dad's friends, we never found any reason to worry about them...read full review

My in-laws we're residents for many years. We cannot express enough, how thankful we are that their last days we're so peaceful and caring. This was their home, they loved it. The staff is family, knowledgeable, immensely caring. Thank You for all you've done ❤️

No visitors allowed during Covid19...Cemetary is open. Separate entrance for cemetery a block north before the bridge. Search online: find a grave grand Rapids, MI to find relative's grave site.

The Michigan Veteran Homes at Grand Rapids is located on 90 beautifully wooded and landscaped acres, right near the mighty Grand River. Every day, our extensive, professional staff focuses on long-term and short-term care, rehab and therapy, dementia and memory care and palliative care. Additionally, the Home provides a broad and advanced psychiatric program to meet the varied and unique mental health needs of veterans. An in-house pharmacy, pastoral care and specialty clinics (such as dental and vision care) are also available. A cemetery is available for those veterans and dependents who have passed away while under the care of the Home.
