I've only used the medical service, and I have always been treated well and respected. I used the downtown Flint branch and have been going there since they opened the "new" facility. I no longer need the discounted services, but continue to go due to the good care. Maybe there is such few reviews because people that are satisfied do not post a review, whereas people that have a struggle find this a source to vent their frustration.

I was seen for the first time by the Dental clinic yesterday. It was a 10:30 AM appointment with the dentist. It is the policy there that you cannot make an 'appointment' for the dentist and the hygienist on the same day. However, after seeing the doctor I was allowed to make an appointment for a cleaning for 95 minutes later, 1:40 PM. I waited outside until the appointed time only to be told that my appointment had been given to someone else, and they had moved me to 3:30 instead. It was obvious that my custom and time was not important as no one even bothered to call to inform me of the change. Not to mention that they deemed someone else's business more important. The staff was very nice enough. I cannot say as much for the flavor of their office policies/politics. Devaluing customers is not good business practice.

I would say that they don't take any health care issues very seriously. I feel as if my needs are never met when I come here, and I am always uncomfortable because I am talked to as if my problems are made up. For example, I was complaining of heart and chest pain--they told me it was anxiety, I know what anxiety feels like and I knew it wasn't the case so I explained and she just kept recommending therapists in my area. Listen to me lady! Doctors are there to HELP and my insurance PAYS for that. So HELP people or write it on their chart that you decided to over look the issue. I will be switching doctors immediately because I'm done. Only doctor I liked personality wise was Sheila. Never saw her medically enough to say anything about her practice. Also, expect to be here for at least 2-3-4 hours it takes forever. No food or drinks allowed inside no matter the case.
