We would like to express are gratitude to Dr.Helm, Susan & Kim @ Blue Water Equine along with other staff I don't know by name. Our horse, Champ had been diagnosed with PPID several years ago & the compassion and expertise was definitely 5 star in caring for our boy. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to him this past Saturday due to his inability to get up after he had laid down. Dr. Helm was on call & we were comforted that the one who had so lovingly cared for him helped us say goodbye. I would highly recommend Dr.Helm & her staff.

Dr. Urich (spelling?) was so kind and thorough. He even was patient enough for me to try to patch my trainer in on the call, which took me multiple tries because I am not tech-savvy. I had never met him before but purchased a horse from the area and I could not be more pleased! But, that's not all ... the staff (Susan, Megan, and others) was soooooo helpful. They knew this was an urgent situation and helped me through the process with such compassion. I received multiple phone calls and emails acknowledging my concerns and keeping me updated during the whole process. If you are in the area, I would HIGHLY recommend Blue Water Equine Hospital!

Dr.Mason is so gentle and patient with my young horses. My horse Kiz tried to play with him and his tech by taking their clipboard. Dr. Mason then had to catch my other horse for the exam - he did. Misdiagnosed my horse with EPM. Then Charged me a bunch of money to say “take your horse to msu, we have no idea what is wrong.” Terrible customer service. That horse now is doing amazing. Five months later and he’s made a full recovery. and they told me I would never be able to ride him again. New vet believes he had a neck injury that healed its self. Blue water would refuse to believe that could have been a possibility. Also Gave me results over the phone with out being able to read them. I was told not to use this vet by many others and I trusted them anyway. Don’t make the same mistake as me. Call a different vet. If your horse gets diagnosed with EPM you should reach out to me. As rebalance or whatever they will prescribe you does not work and is terrible for gut health. I have answers for you that will actually work.

My miniature horse received a 6-in-1 vaccination from them and she died two weeks later. She hasn't had vaccines before so she shouldn't have gotten 6 at once without knowing how she handles them. Also, she was vaccinated before getting her coggins test results back.

Doctor came out to my parent's house and did a physical on their horse. She was 34 yrs old and lived a great life. The unfortunate decision had to be made to put her down. The Dr. and assistance were wonderful. They took their time and explained the process, and gave my family time to say goodbye. Very professional and caring people.

We had Dr Ureche out last night for an emergency call for my gelding who came up severely lame after getting a cut on his leg in the paddock. Dr Ureche was very quick to respond to our after hours call and to get to our barn. He was professional, extremely patient and kind to my very sad & hurting gelding, and very informative. He took the time to explain everything that he was doing & talked me through all directions needed for my gelding’s care over the next few days. I honestly can’t thank him enough for making it such a good experience for us.
