My husband passed away, the following day Crunch charged my husband for his membership. When I noticed the charge a week later I called to cancel and refund his account. The employee said the manager would call me to refund the account. The manager never called me back. After 4 attempts, the manager still didn’t talk to me, but instead told the employee to tell me that my husband‘s death “was not a good reason to refund his account”. This is the most distasteful response I could’ve ever received. The manager is a coward for not calling me back and saying that directly to me, and utterly disrespectful for saying that in the first place. The manager chose to steal from a dead man. Shame on them

Employees don’t care, trash is always in cupholders of treadmills, and canceling is absolutely insane. It should actually be illegal how they refuse to let you cancel.
On employees don’t care: I was using the treadmill and left my wallet. I went back 10 mins later and it was gone. I asked the front desk and they said no one had turned anything in. I looked EVERYWHERE and couldn’t find it. I called later in the day and still no one turned it in. I filed a police report and canceled the cards. The next day, out of desperation for a photo in the wallet that couldn’t be replaced, I called and they said “yeah someone turned in a wallet yesterday morning.” So what? They just didn’t check and told me they didn’t have it?? What a headache.
On canceling practices that should be illegal: I tried to cancel online the way I signed up but conveniently there is no way to do so. I called and asked to cancel and they said to email the manager. I emailed and got no response. I followed up a week later, no response. I drove an hour one way to cancel in person and had to plead my case and have my cancellation “request” approved. by then though, it was within 10 days of my next billing cycle so they get that last month out of you. Wouldn’t have been if they just let me cancel online or over the phone or by email. I’m writing this review because now it’s been a week since I canceled in person and the manager has FINALLY emailed me back, not to cancel but to request proof from me that I’ve moved. JUST CANCEL. I read from others that if the manager doesn’t approve it, they just take you to collections so good luck getting that off your record. I can only hope mine went through correct.
I was cancelling only for the summer as I won’t need the gym for this time, but when I go back I WILL NEVER go back to Crunch and never recommend someone go through this crazy process with them. Definitely lost a customer and I hope you’ll lose more with these scummy business practices.

This place certainly isn't hurting for customers, yet everything is constantly broken?
Water fountain doesn't even work, don't give this place your money

Beware of fraud! They will continue to charge you after you cancel your membership. Even so, the gym is completely unsanitary. I saw a cockroach in the sauna one time and reported it to the front staff who just acted shocked and did nothing else. I wouldn't recommend anyone to choose this gym; pick anything else.

The gym itself is fine but if you sign up they practically own you. You can’t take your card off file, can’t cancel without a manager, and the manager is conveniently never there. You can cancel by email ONLY if you moved away??? Then if you go in person to cancel, and the manager is there, they don’t even need the manager to cancel it. They just have to be in the building apparently. Biggest scam ever.

You're gonna have to pay an extra 30 dollars JUST to switch ur membership to the normal one, they're so cheap they can't even turn on the air conditioner lmao. What a joke. Drenching in sweat 10 Seconds after walking in. The staff is so nice and helpful though wish the owners could be the same
