“We have owned collies for 54 years, so over the years we have had experience with many veterinarians. Dr. Jeffrey Powers and the staff at Jordan Valley Animal Clinic truly impressed us.

Dr. Powers recently performed a dental cleaning on our collie, Barker, and did an excellent job. Just as important to us was the way Barker was treated. Dr. Powers and his staff were kind, caring and professional, and we felt completely comfortable leaving Barker in their care.

We were also impressed by how reasonably priced the services were and by our ability to get an appointment within a reasonable period of time—something that has become increasingly difficult to find in veterinary care.

After more than five decades of owning collies, we can say that Dr. Powers is one of the finest veterinarians we have encountered and quite possibly the best we have seen in the past 40 years.

We spend our summers in this area, and Jordan Valley Animal Clinic will now be Barker’s regular veterinarian whenever we are in Michigan. We are very pleased to have found Dr. Powers and highly recommend him and his clinic.”

“Dr. Kurt is an empathic, logical, and a wonderful vet. Our nearly 15 year old lab was inappropriately diagnosed by a downstate vet with a “cracked tooth”, in reality, he had a bone cancer in his mouth - which Dr. Kurt was quick to identify. We proceeded with the surgery to have the mass removed, knowing that it likely would come back. Dr. Kurt was straightforward and did not lead us to have inappropriately high expectations. The cancer did return quickly. However, because of Dr. Kurt our best guy was able to gain two months of life full of high quality memories and many dips in the lake. He eventually suffered a stroke. Dr. Kurt came out to the lake to help him transition to heaven on the shore of what I imagine his heaven will look like. I’m forever grateful that our dog made his way to heaven with a vet who cares deeply for animals.

We are dog people and will eventually find another, and when we do, I cannot imagine taking the dog to anyone other than Dr. Kurt.”

“The Dr. was thorough. We went because our 4 mo. old puppy's upper thigh bone kept popping out at the knee. He popped it back in and it hasn't popped back out since.”
