My family has been using Swanson’s for many years. Recently, my aunt passed and she also used Swanson’s. She looked amazing and they did an incredible job in preparing for her service and during the service. However, the church Clinton Chapel A.M.E. Zion in Detroit had no heat on and the entire funeral was freezing. In addition , the Internment was scheduled for Monday March 30, 2026 at 1pm. This time was mentioned during the service and listed on the obituary. Upon arrival to the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Clinton Township. Swanson Funeral Home, westside exemplifies how funeral homes should treat the bereaved. Everyone, at every turn, was professional, kind, and respectful. They embraced me and treated me like family.
I was honored with the task of burying a sister-friend (sister). Initially, Peace Funeral had my sister's remains. I had her transferred to Swanson Funeral Home because they are honest, forthright, and professional.
Swanson gave a breakdown of their package. It was reasonably priced and included everything except the vault and casket. The price of the minister, cosmetologist, and soloist were all included.
