OT/PT Phenomenal!!!
The nursing care is horrible. The visiting hours are awful being that the patients are at the mercy of the staff and call lights don't get answered as quickly as they should. they are short staffed. if a family member is will to assist with their loved ones care visiting hours should be open. I called nursing supervisor multiple times and the same issues keep happening.

I just completed physical therapy after a knee replacement. Excellent experience! The level of care from everyone here is exceptional. Highly recommended.

Slow and unorganized billing and financial assistance departments.
Despite advertising financial assistance for bills on their invoices and website, the billing representative I initially spoke to on the phone claimed the facility did not provide financial assistance – it took literally reading the financial assistance information straight from the facility’s website for the representative to finally relent and transfer me over to their financial assistance department.
Then, after I submitted a financial assistance application for my child’s physical therapy bills in October 2024, I continued to receive bill notices and called the financial assistance department to check on the status of my application and make sure the bills were not sent to collections. I called to check on the application status multiple times, and multiple times was assured by their representatives that the bills would not be sent to collections while my application was under review. Despite these reassurances, I received a debt collection agency’s notice for one of the bills last week (start of January 2025). I called the financial assistance department and while they apologized and admitted the bill should not have been sent to collections, they said I had to talk to the billing department about recalling the bill from the collections agency.
Today (January 14, 2025), I was transferred over to the facility’s billing department on a phone call and when I requested the bill be recalled from collections, the billing representative told me “Well, we sent you bill notices multiple times.” After telling him I had been reassured multiple times this bill was never supposed to go to collections while under review for financial assistance, he told me he needed to put me on hold to discuss the matter with a higher-up. After over 15 minutes on hold, the call was disconnected.
This experience of constant miscommunication, unreliable information, and delays from billing has been a nightmare and has me seriously reconsidering pursuing future care at Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan and planning on discouraging others from getting care there in the future.

Yvette and staff were excellent. She is the sixth PT I have had and the most progress I’ve had in healing. Everyone washed their hands and wiped down all equipment. I had a great experience.

What started off as a wonderful experience for my 92 year old dad turned into a nightmare! BEWARE!!!!Love the ladies up front and both PT/OT were very good at their jobs. HOWEVER, this place is NOT clean! I watched as clients/patients used the equipment and NO ONE wiped down nor disinfected after use. I call myself being proactive giving him wipes and hand sanitizer afterwards. This facility has a lot of older people who are more vulnerable and susceptible to viruses and infections. As a 92 year old, he doesn’t go many places and if he does he people watches in the car. February of this year he contracted RSV (no mask) now he wears a mask and I found out last week now he has Staphylococcus (MRSA) which I can guarantee he contracted from here! The state will be investigating my claim to see if others have contracted Staphylococcus from this facility. They need to follow proper protocol and procedures to ensure the protection of ALL patients. This place only received a 1 star because I could not give 0 stars.
