Circle Pines Center is a mission-driven cooperative that hosts various events and activities, including the Buttermilk Jamboree music festival, a cooperative youth summer camp, and a retreat center ideal for weddings and community events. Guests can enjoy programs like the Midwest Mushroom Camp, Apple Cider Weekend, and Maple Syrup Weekend. Surrounded by beautiful nature, including forests, fields, and a small beach, the center fosters a friendly community. Many buildings are well-constructed, and colorful signs guide visitors along the trails. The summer camp provides a nurturing environment for children and adults to develop skills like responsibility and communication. Private retreat center and camp founded in 1938 by folks committed to cooperation and social progress through work for peace and inclusive justice. Used by Midwest co-ops for conferences, and offering Peace Camp for youth each summer.
With all the nature such as forests, fields, and even a small beach; the friendly people; and the fun events going on there; Circle Pines summer camp is overall a great place. Many of the buildings there have been built from the ground up and are very well constructed. Even the signs for the numerous trails that weave through the surrounding forest have been painted colorfully or burned into wooden planks to provide guidance as one explores this beautiful area.
