Henry Ford Medical Center - Ford Road

Plenty of parking, but the main entry is usually lined with cars picking up or dropping off patients. It is not well designated for no standing or parking. There is limited room to walk up to the building because of the narrow walkway and columns for the overhang that take up quite a bit of space. The walkway area gets overgrown and you are walking against ornamental grasses and stuff hanging into the sidewalk. Also, the hand sanitizer unit at the front door never works! They have good stairway, access and elevators to the upper floors. The lab on the main floor is usually pretty good at moving people through. My doctor's visit at this location was and has always been a pleasurable experience with Dr. Charles Vaughns and Samyre (one of the medical assistants.) Today, I had to wait in a long line to check in to see my PCP. The customer service rep (Varnita) did an awesome job all by herself by checking in patients, greeting them with a smile, and thanking them for their patience. Under these circumstances, this young lady should be awarded for her professionalism and more!...Thanks Varnita!

I've been to the location on several occasions. My Pain Management Doctor is on staff there. I do not mind driving the distance. As an established patient of HFH, it is so worth the drive it to get to his next available appointment. When you have a good caring Doctor, no distance is too far. I love HFH. They always take good care if me.
