Great place, have used for both dog and cat boarding for many years. My animals have always enjoyed their stays, and I have always felt they were safe and well cared for.

I cannot recommend Lynn/Northwoods Lodge enough! My husband and I were going to Isle Royale and dogs aren’t allowed we knew we needed to board her some where. Lynn was recommended to us by a friend who has a friend who knows Lynn.
I’m so glad we booked with Lynn. Willow was in such great hands, and Lynn ensured she was comfortable, walked, snuggled and ate! She told us she did great and we’re so thankful and grateful to Lynn for taking such great care of our girl. She even let us pick her up earlier since we had a long drive ahead of us. Thank you Lynn and Darren! We absolutely will recommend this place and we will board Willow here again if we’re ever back up in Houghton and need to! 5/5.

I always bring my two dogs here when we travel out of town. They take wonderful care of them and you can tell they love animals. They are also quick to respond to voicemails.

My mom has been taking her dogs here for years and she and the dogs love Lynn and her family. Lynn's daughters used to sit in a rocker and read to our senior cat when they were small and the family has taken the dogs out for walks in the woods (with Mom's permission) when she had to leave them there longer than usual. You couldn't ask for a better place to leave your dog or cat.

I was very glad to learn that their Pet Lodge was open again! My 3 dogs had received excellent care there before, so when I moved back to the area, that was my first choice for pet boarding. The “boys” come home happy & healthy after their stays, and that’s what’s most important to me. Lynn and Darren are so kind and personable in their human interactions; I can only imagine how well they treat their furry guests!

Got the reference from someone at work to check this place out. I was a little unsure as I couldn't find too much info on it but I took the leap for our dog during a camping weekend. The dog kennels allow it pet to go inside & out at will and it sounds like they spent a good amount of time actually interacting with our dog. Price was reasonable. They do seem to book up quickly so call ahead of time if u are wanting to get ur dog in!
