From the first phone call with Jeff, we knew he was the guy and a great one at that. Very thorough and brought great ideas for this project to light. As he worked he sent pictures, we didn't ask him to do this it was just another amazing level of communication that he and Amy have, I can't recommend Shoemaker Excavating enough. Great crew, Jeff said what he was going to do and followed through with impeccable timing. I had a vision in my head and he made it better. From thick trees to a driveway plus the build site. He made it happen! As the added bonus he's coming back to install the septic system.
Jeff dug a pond for us at our cabin in Northern Michigan and did an awesome job! He is a great guy to deal with, and he pays a lot of attention to detail. I would highly recommend Jeff and the crew!
Jeff was really great to work with. I called several companies that did septic for lake county, and only one other company got back to me, and Jeff was not only quicker to get back with me, he kept in contact with me. It really was a personal experience. Costwise is slightly less than HnH, and he handled the inspection, and was crystal clear on cost, and what he was planning on doing. Jeff even went above and beyond and plowed out the driveway. He even offered good advice on the rest of my build. I am happy to say that we will be using him in the future on upcoming projects.
