If you are ambulatory and can get to another ER in the area, do that. I not only had what I believe was a misdiagnosis that resulted in several more weeks of pain and discomfort, when I complained to the hospital about it, they essentially circled the wagons and said the care was "appropriate" and glossed over the results I got from the follow-up care I got in Gaylord. Based on THAT care, I am being referred down to a specialist at U of M due to some troubling pathology which Charlevoix hospital wrote off as "you'll be fine...take some Tylenol". Too bad--I had an excellent experience the year before but it's always the last one that'll leave the bad taste in your mouth. Unless I'm transported in an ambulance, I'll not be back here. Thanks for the response, Charlevoix Hospital. Classy move telling the patient their horrendous experience is not your fault.
I'm seeing great results since starting pt for a hip replacement! Candice is Awesome. Excellent deep tissue massages and I'm learning lots of great exercises that I can do in my own home!
Went there with excruciating abdominal pain & Nausea they told me it would be a few minutes then turned into be over an hour . I couldn't Take the pain I had to leave to get treated. I was handed a barf bag when I was doubled vet in pain. This is a rinky dink small facility with only 1 doctor ! Hope I make it to the next hospital
