About Michigan Dance Alliance
Michigan Dance Alliance is a dance studio where students can grow and thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment. The instructors are incredibly supportive, fostering a love for dance. Dancers grow both technically and personally, gaining confidence and making lifelong friendships. The studio offers a variety of classes, from Diaper Darlings for young children to recreational and competitive teams. It is a second home where dancers are treated with respect. The owners and teachers are trustworthy adults the kids can go to when needed, providing high quality instruction and helping dancers develop invaluable life skills for the future.
My daughter started at MDA fall 2017, and danced there until summer 2024. She then decided to take a year off to pursue theater, and missed dance so much we returned to MDA beginning fall 2025. We were welcomed back with open arms by teachers, students, and parents. There is no where else my daughter wants to be, it's where her friends are that have become family, her safe space. It is the challenging environment that pushes her to be a better person in the studio, as well as out. Returning felt like coming home. Matt and Jenny have made the studio uniquely theirs. They are providing my daughter with the best years of her life, and I am so thankful for them.
I highly recommend MDA to anyone that asks about a dance studio! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and super compassionate. My daughter started at 4 years old and was very nervous to put herself out there. With the encouragement of the teachers and staff, she was able to strut her stuff and really come out of her shell. She gained confidence and made new friends along the way (including her teachers)! We love MDA!
My granddaughter has been dancing here for over eight years, and it truly feels like family. The staff and owners are incredibly talented, caring, and dedicated they push dancers to grow while providing a safe, loving environment. Every recital and competition blows me away with the passion, skill, and hard work of both students and teachers. This studio is simply the best place for young dancers to shine!!!! Very thankful for MDA
