“*Update! Not even a year later June 2025, we invited Vince and his crew back out to border the retaining walls he built with stone. Once again, they went above and beyond. Not one stone was out of place, or left in the lawn, the job is perfect and exactly what we hoped for. The crew's careful attention to detail is exceptional. We are thrilled with the job and already planning our next move after our deck is built. We feel so blessed that we met Vince. After some not so great experiences with contractors building our home, Vince is a breath of fresh air and someone we can count on and trust. In the summer of 2024, our family moved into a new construction home with quite a number of drainage issues. We had no final grade and large hills of dirt that were sliding down toward our walkout basement. Water was pooling everywhere up against our home. It was a complete mess and we were very concerned.
I made a post and asked if anyone knew of someone who could help.
Vince reached out to me and offered to come over and quote the job. He arrived that day and listened to our concerns and ideas. He offered his ideas as well, and together we turned it into something perfect.
We had a quote the next day.
The job was a big one. We had 2 very large retaining walls installed, landscape stone laid, a tree planted, and all of our downspouts buried and rerouted across our property to lead water away from our home. Vince and his crew also gave us a final grade and blew grass seed onto about an acre and a half of our property.
The end result is amazing and beautiful. We are so happy with all of the work completed. We are even more happy with the process.
Vince and his crew worked at our home for almost a month. Vince's prices were more than fair and he was completely up front with us about any changes in cost as we moved through the project. He has an eye for detail and he showed up daily to either work along side his crew or check their progress and work completed. It was extremely obvious that he cares a great deal about making sure the job was completed at a high standard.
His crew are some of the hardest working guys we have had the pleasure of doing business with. Vince and every one of his crew members were so friendly, we ended up knowing them all by name and even getting to know them a bit. We enjoyed having them there while they were working.
In conclusion, from our experience, I HIGHLY recommend Vince, The Brick Paver Dr, for any landscaping needs. He is fair, honest, friendly, and cares a tremendous amount about ensuring his customers are happy with the end result. Vince goes over and above to be sure. We will most certainly be calling Vince to come back out as we add more outdoor projects this summer. Thank you so much to you and your crew, we are so happy we met you all.

“Used French Drain Man (division of Sherwood) for some water problems in my yard. WOW. Talk about professional! A large crew showed up with all the equipment needed and then some. Placed plywood on the lawn to keep from damaging it with the equipment. Worked hard and finished in less than a day - and it was a pretty substantial project. I was delighted that they curled up my underground pet fence and re-connected it before they left - BONUS! All of the above made me so happy. None of the "contractor is late, has to get more supplies, delay for x,y,z. Job done as promised and best of all when it came time to write the check it was for the exact amount quoted. The only thing that was disappointing was my friends wanted to see the drain and you could only tell where it was by the grass seed and straw. Yup, they even did that. “I am writing this review of KLM Landscaping to share our experience with the retaining wall replacement job at our home in Lake Orion (note: our job was done in conjunction with our next door neighbor’s yard which required a similar retaining wall replacement).

I can say that our experience with Kody was good thru the whole process. I believe he was honest and knowledgeable with us. Additionally, KLM job pricing was better than other estimates we received for similar work. Part of that was also due to us selecting boulders for the retaining wall. Initially we were not in favor of using boulders, but after job completion, we were satisfied. Many neighbors have already commented on how good the boulder walls look (we had two walls replaced) in our backyard facing a wetlands area. It looks more natural with boulders compared to a manufactured stone wall.

Would I use KLM again? Yes, I would. I’d only strongly suggest that in the contract it state that before any final work is finished on the yard grading, that you review the job with a supervisor, and approve it before any grass seeding and laying off straw is done. We did have issues with the yard grading that required two visits to resolve. Our experience was that once seeding and straw is laid down, fixing grading issues (like rough or low areas) is more difficult. Catching any grading issues early would have been less time consuming for us and KLM and may have resulted in a better yard grading outcome. Kody has committed to rolling the yard too ,in the Spring ’25, to help with rough grading issues.“

“I had to go and get some sod after the contractor I hired to install a shed pad destroyed my lawn. Everyone was so polite and nice. The guys who loaded my car (Logan and Michael?) we're so careful to make sure they didn't get my husband's car dirty. They really respected our property. I had a great experience.“
