I have been coming here on and off since I was 8 years old for adjustments, had mild scoliosis and a few years back Dr. Sowerby realigned my hip/lower back after a tumble down the stairs. I finally got on the nutrition train and have never felt better! “I was referred to Dr. Herman 10 years ago by a neurosurgeon that I was building a house for. I hurt my back on the job really bad one day and could barely move. My customer, who is a respected surgeon at Beaumont Royal Oak, told me I should go see Dr. Herman right away.Admittedly, I was a little incredulous, and maybe even a bit nervous, because in my early 30s I had never seen a chiropractor and had heard good and bad things about them throughout my life. I was in a great deal of pain and could barely move, and a neurosurgeon was recommending Dr. Herman so I decided to come in and I have been coming back for 10 years!Dr. Herman cares and listens and from the very beginning he always remembered specific things we talked about, medical and personal, which is a good indicator to me that someone is listening and cares. Jim’s wife Brenda works the front desk and has always been an absolute gem of a human!Chiropractors have a reputation of working in such a way that people have to come back multiple times a month or week to feel good so that they can rack up peoples’ bills. Dr. Herman has never taken that approach and just tells me to come in when I need it.Since I met Jim I have moved nearly an hour away, but I still make the drive to come to the best chiropractic office in the world!
