“My rescued Treeing Walker Coonhound was always left in my son's care, in Lansing, when I went away. I lived across the road from him so it was super convenient and didn't pose a problem with him already having two dogs and a cat himself. She was able to stay in the house she knew, her couch, and her own backyard. All he had to do was come over a few times a day and let her out and water and feed her. I was spoiled by the convenience! I was very nervous about leaving her with a kennel since I recently moved to the Big Rapids area. I was very impressed with our tour! Friendly staff, very clean, well maintained, and a large safe fenced in area for the bigger dogs. She took us around and explained their schedules and procedures for caring for all of their guests. The dogs are taken out separately and you have an option to pay for extra trips outside. Her first stay was for a whole week while we vacationed. She did fine once she settled down and it was apparent she was very well taken care of. She just returned after another shorter stay. We love Monkeyshine and their staff. I feel confident and a little bit more relaxed now when we leave her. She is my big baby girl. 🥰 P.S. check out their FB page! They also provide doggie daycare and grooming services.”
