Arthur and his crew did a terrific job for us--which was repainting the entire interior of our home. You could tell they sweat the details of getting a paint job right. Got our things roughly back in place and did a good job cleaning up. And Arthur was a good communicator throughout the process. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either, and given the quality we felt like it was a good value. Highly recommend!

After searching and interviewing multiple painters, and gathering several quotes, I felt Arthur was the best choice due to his experience and his clear explanation of what our cedar home needed. He provided the most detailed assessment and even pointed out areas that had likely been neglected by the previous contractor.
Throughout the entire process, Arthur and his team maintained professional communication. Despite challenges with rain and extreme heat, they worked diligently without compromising quality. I’m extremely happy with the stain he recommended and the care he took in helping us choose colors—his feedback was both thoughtful and valuable.

We called southwest Michigan painting. I spoke with Arthur who was pleasant on the phone and said he could come out the following day. He came out the following day to look at the project. Pulled off some of the wallpaper. He told me he would get me a quote soon. I shot him a text a week later saying I was checking in as I didn’t get an email wanted to make sure it wasn’t in my spam. He emailed back he hadn’t been able to finish the quote yet but no apology for the delay or ETA on when he thought he would have it. He came out September 25th I have not heard anything since and it’s November 13th.
-update for all: Arthur sent me the quote now. It appears there was an issue with the system he was using that has been sorted.

We used them to paint and stain the exterior of our wood sided home. They painted the gutters, soffits, decking, and trim as well.The owner was very helpful in guiding us to the right stain to use and ensuring it would look good on our home before moving forward.Long story short, they were very meticulous about their work. The siding looks great and our almost 50 year old soffits and gutters look new. We couldn’t be happier.

I cannot believe what an amazing job Arthur and his crew did on my living room. The ceiling is 35' high so it was challenging. Not only did SWMP do an excellent job with the painting, they washed the high windows, cleaned the ceiling fans, cleaned the chandelier, replaced burned out lightbulbs and more. We took NOTHING down. They cleared everything off the shelving, moved all the furniture, took everything off the walls...everything.Then the BEST thing...they worked MAGIC! It was supposed to be a 7-10 day job. We wanted to get out of the way so when they arrived on Tuesday, we left for the UP. We returned Saturday night dreading the half-finished mess we would find. We walked in and EVERYTHING was back where we had left it Tuesday but the walls were the new color. It was like they waved a magic wand and new paint appeared! The knickknacks, pictures/paintings, furniture, lamps...it was all back where it belonged.The windows sparkled. We hadn't used the chandelier in years because we couldn't reach it to put new bulbs in. Now, clean and with bulbs that worked, it lit up the room and made the color pop!Thank you so much, Arthur, for making this job...which we put off for almost 20 years...as easy as packing our bags and taking a few days off.

I am still pinching myself...I can't believe what an amazing job Arthur and his crew at Southwest Michigan Painting did! Our living room has 35' ceilings so it wasn't an easy undertaking. I dreaded the disruption of our lives with workers going in and out, our dogs escaping when the door was opened, etc. etc. We decided it was a good time to go away.They came on Tuesday and we left for the UP. When we got home Saturday night, we walked into a house that was entirely put back together. We were shocked! Except for the fact the walls were now a different color, you would never have known anyone had been there. In addition to doing a meticulous job on the painting, the windows going up to the 35' peak were washed, the chandelier we can't reach was cleaned & bulbs changed, the wood ledges were all cleaned off, all knickknacks returned to their places, paintings hung...it was incredible! I can't thank SWMP enough for doing such a professional job, their kindness in going the extra mile and working long days so we could be surprised when we got home. In addition to being great painters, just truly super guys.

I hired Arthur to paint a few areas inside my home and he couldn’t have been better to work with! He was very responsive, came out quickly and the work was completed within a few weeks of the initial quote. The painting looks amazing and it has elevated the look of my home! He was great with my dog and very careful and respectful of the home while working. He offered to help with a few other needs around the house while he was there and even came back the next day to power wash my deck too. Can’t recommend this business enough! I will definitely use them again.

My fiancée and I wanted to try a new interior color to brighten up the space in our ranch-style home in Sawyer, as well as getting the drywall repaired in a number of places. We found SW MI Painting on Yelp, and Arthur responded to my request for a quote within 24 hours. We met in short order, and he had some great suggestions on color and approach. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and we knew immediately that he was the right one to work with. When we asked what we needed to do to prep the house, his answer was "nothing" -- it was truly a full service experience. Within weeks, he and his crew were able to get in and finish repairing and repainting the entire 4BR house, and kept in close communication throughout.
