Called the course to get a tee time. An answering machine came on that said the course was open and they were accepting tee times. Leave a message and somebody will call you back. Left my name and number, but nobody called me back. What lousy customer service. If that’s how they run their business, then the course isn’t even worth my time or money. Lots to choose from in West Michigan, and Boulder Creek is now off the list.

Been playing here a very long time. Last year, they hardly had any grass outside of the fairways and greens by the end of June. This year, it’s already burnt out and it’s April. Take a look at your own lawn and everyone else’s lawn. Even with just rainwater everything is greener than this golf course. Seems like charging $70+ in peak season should allow them to afford to turn the sprinklers on. The greens and fairways however are usually in good shape, but there is no urgency to fix ball marks and divots (including on the tee boxes). Pace of play can range from 4 to 5.5 hours. It’s a pretty fun course to play and they have a good atmosphere. They need some real groundskeeping and it would be 5 stars!

The golf course was in great shape. We stayed for the food and spirits, which turned out to be delicious. Our server was very accommodating for an impromptu celebration.
