A dear friend of mine is a recipient of the services of Genesis In-Home Care. I love seeing her needs consistently met. The staff often throw parties and social events for the recipients where they can craft and meet one another. The staff have also been willing to work with her to get her the best possible match for a staff person. The staff truly care about their clients. I would highly recommend this business!

This company stands by their core values, they strive to hire the best caregivers that meet the expectations and are as passionate and caring as they are about the individuals they provide care for.Genesis has some of the most caring individuals that truly care and are passionate for what they do.What Genesis is doing for the community and our loved ones is spectacular and so challenging at times. Leads me to why I left 5 stars, when the system itself is broken and needs to be changed, like most things in the government. But, I can’t hold the company itself or the individuals running it responsible for what is out of their control (ex. pay, funding, rules, regulations, etc.). They do their absolute best inside meeting the requirements per state/government.When looking for care for your loved one, or even when you are considering your next place of employment, I suggest Genesis.When you look deep inside of what is on this business heart you will feel the love too!

Do not use Genesis as a provider for your home. I really wish I would have read through their reviews before hand. From what I see the only 5 stars they have is from their own employees. Genesis will sell you on their contract that if things don’t work out, they will give a 30 day notice. They promised us they have to stay until I find another provider to replace them even, it’s even in their contract.. They gave us a 30day notice, I asked weekly if they were going to leave? I did find another provider but can’t take over for additional 30 days. “They kept saying they will try” with no definite answer. I got a 4 day notice they were leaving no matter what. So starting today, my son goes to school and when he arrives back home. Nobody will be there. He was abandoned and neglected. This is not a chance you should take or should ever happen to a person with disabilities. There is many providers out there and I desperately called many of them, they all said Genesis isn’t allowed to do this.I said they don’t care, they are leaving despite the contract. They have definitely ruined their reputation in the small community by doing this.They failed to provide the care my son needs which caused behavioral issues they didn’t want to deal with. They recently lost many homes, staff, and residents due to another provider taking them, they told me. But my thoughts are, you can’t take people from anywhere if they are happy with you..My son is lucky that he has a team of people to step in and help. But not every disabled person has someone in their defense. I asked what would have happened if I wasn’t around? His case worker said we would have had to find him temporary housing or place him in a hospital. That is absolutely awful to do to someone with special needs.

My experience when I joined the Genesis team in 2015 is family, and I use the word "Family" because I feel that is what it is, and still is. As a Home Manager when I go to the Leadership meetings the people in that room are caring, dedicated individuals who care about the needs of the home they manage.The Home Managers always have the needs of the people they care for and the needs of the staff as their number one priority. The Home Managers work together to coordinate game nights, holiday parties, as well as community activities. It's so encouraging to see. It helps me grow as a manager myself. If staffing is needed the Home Managers work together as a team to get the shifts covered. It's also nice to see the addition of new office staff who are always there to give a helping hand. In closing, I have to say on day one I felt welcomed as part of the Genesis "Family." I could not be working for a better company than Genesis.

Genesis is an amazing company. They are great to the employees giving care and to the person receiveing care. Genesis truly cares about their staff and the people that they take care of. You have to go through some extensive training before you can beigin working with the people they care for. I work for Genesis in-home Care and would recommend them to anyone who needs care or knows of someone that needs care. I would also recommend them to anyone looking for a career where you can make a difference for some very special people that are just looking to fit in and be accepted. I personally care for individuals who have expressed to me how much they love and appreciate Genesis and their staff compared to other care facilities they had been with in the past. They love Genesis! If your looking for someone to care for your loved ones do not hesitate to give them a call, you will not regret it

Since becoming a part of the team in 2013 as a Direct care worker and was promoted to Team Lead. ( Also approached for other positions ) i enjoyed working in various homes of the people we serve when asked. I've received certificates, gift cards, dinner date with the CEO, referral bonuses and nominated for the Residential Arc of oakland award. Management also supported me during the loss of my husband.

I joined the team during covid. My wife has worked with the company for many years. There is no doubt this company is built with alot of heart.
