When it was time to have the exterior of my home, the interior of my garage painted and my deck stained, I followed my typical protocol of interviewing three different companies to decide which company I would choose for the project. Our 110 year old home needed help. We have lived in this residence for almost 43 years and now it needed more than just “band-aiding.” After checking out several companies, to the rescue came the Thomas Brothers Painting Company. We were immediately impressed in the first contact when Adam surveyed the problems and presented a plan of action, with reasonable estimated costs as to what would be involved. Our 110 year old home needed help. We have lived in this residence for almost 43 years and now it needed more than just "band-aiding." After checking out several companies, to the rescue came the Thomas Brothers Painting Company. We were immediately impressed in the first contact when Adam surveyed the problems and presented a plan of action, with reasonable estimated costs as to what would be involved. It was definitely a challenge that they were willing to take on. From the very beginning a team arrived with tools, energy and a focus. Other than the unplanned heavy rains, the preparations of power washing the old wood siding with its peeling paint, followed by detailed scraping every surface was under motion. We have never witnessed the incredible teamwork that these gentlemen demonstrated. They replaced the lower 3 sections of water-damaged siding with Hardie-Board to make it longer lasting and more durable. There was a lot of communication with us; a definite focus on positive customer relations was always evident! Each morning started with welcoming smiles and a sense of humor as they unloaded heavy equipment, ladders and other necessary tools. Each person was positive and self-directed as the work progressed. At times the heat and humidity of Michigan's notorious summer weather would have slowed down most workmen, but not these guys. We don't even know if they took any breaks other than a brief lunch. They were working on site until late each afternoon. Every day there was visible progress. The two vans always arrived at a usual, early expected time. Base coats were applied then this awesome teamwork continued with the final color. It was obvious that they wanted to be on schedule. The painting was exciting to watch as each member of the team was "armed" with rollers and brushes attending to each section of siding. The flurry of action was like a group of worker bees. This company was detail-oriented with perfection as a goal. The trim work will be finished today and we feel like they have given our home new life. This labor of love that they took on will always make them a part of this residence. We would highly recommend this fantastic business. Their work ethic is something to behold and they are terrific, inspiring role-models for others.
