Michigan Headache & Neurological Institute

I have been a patient for a few years now. I have had severe migraines for many years. I myself am thankful that I decided to make an appointment with them. I have to admit that it has been a rough journey finding the right medication to treat my migraines. I currently see the Nurse Practitioner Cheryl Muck. She has been so helpful with trying to find a plan for my migraines. She also was the one who found out that I had hashimotos disease. It seems that my insurance company had to give prior authorization for many of the newer medications but the office has been great about submitting the paperwork and getting the authorization. I am still on my journey to controlling daily migraine but am ever so thankful i stumbled on MHNI. They are very knowledgeable and I feel I can trust and follow their treatment plan. They found I am gluten intolerant and that is just one of the key discoveries that they have made. I appreciate that they don't give up. Dr. Saper listens to my feedback and applies that to my treatment. I'm not sure why people are so displeased. My office experience has been great. Friendly staff, very reassuring, and always a smile. I've been going there since 1985. Back then they were compassionate and it felt like a warm place to be for help with terrible headaches. I received moderate relief with headaches. I never expected an easy solution to a complex problem and was happy to get any improvement in my condition. Move forward to present day. If you have a disagreement with them, instead of helping the patient understand whatever they need to know or understand, it is kinda like they feel "don't like it, then get the hell out of here and go somewhere else."
