Fred Astaire Dance Studios is a welcoming and affordable dance studio with knowledgeable instructors and a beautiful facility featuring large mirrors and a great practice floor. The friendly staff provides a supportive environment for students of all levels, from beginners to experienced dancers. They offer private lessons, group classes, and special packages for college students and wedding couples, helping students to feel confident and prepared for their special events. The studio offers a wide range of dance styles, including social dancing, competition-level techniques, International and American styles, and Argentine tango. The instructors are very experienced dancers and fantastic teachers, explaining and demonstrating everything clearly and thoroughly. The private and group classes are fun, challenging, and well-maintained, with a focus on high standards. Many students have praised the studio for its patient instructors, enjoyable social dance classes, and the ability to choreograph dances to music. Whether preparing for a wedding or just learning to dance, the studio is a great place to improve skills and enjoy dancing.
Love this studio! All the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. My partner and I completed the Beginner Ballroom Program three times with Jasper and Alison, and we highly recommend it for anyone just starting out—they explain and demonstrate everything clearly and thoroughly. One of my favorite parts is the Tuesday night social dance classes with Platon. Each dance style is taught over the course of two months before switching to a new one. We joined the Hustle series, and it was such a blast! Can’t wait to start Bachata soon! My partner and I have also began our private wedding dance lessons here with Jasper, and it has been going great! Jasper is super patient and does a great job at choreographing the dance to the music we provided. Super excited to see how the final dance goes ☺️
This studio offers a wide range of dance styles, including social dancing, competition-level techniques, International and American styles, and Argentine tango. I was particularly drawn to the International style dances, and I'm very happy with the level of skill the instructors bring to every class. The instructors themselves are incredible, very experienced dancers, and fantastic teachers. Those two things don't always go together! Both the private and group classes are an absolute pleasure, lots of fun, and very hard work! I appreciate how seriously the studio is run, and the overall commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
After a decade without dancing, joining this studio has been a delight. Izabela really knows her stuff; if you're interested in technique and understanding, she's so good at both. Platon is an excellent Argentine Tango teacher. And the whole studio is a fun and very welcoming place!
