My experience during a month-long stay at this facility was deeply concerning. Throughout the duration of my care, there were systemic failures in basic patient management, oversight, and professional responsibility. The standard of treatment I experienced fell entirely short of safe, acceptable practices, leading to an incredibly distressing month.
Communication was non-existent, and the management of my care lacked the fundamental professional standards required for long-term patients. Admitted to psych for a suicide attempt, here's a summary of my stay:
Upon admission, my medications were recorded and then not ordered. Namely, my hormones were not ordered, and so I had to change to a different form (pills instead of injections) to ensure I had a steroid hormone to regulate my body. These pills were picked up by a nurse who hurriedly went off to a pharmacy at the time I was supposed to take my shot to make sure I didn't get extremely ill. If this circumstance would have been prolonged it could have had severe health consequences for me. Only one of the two medications I brought from home was logged while the other was not. Husband had been dealing with intense mouth pain for 2 day and I finally talked him into seeing someone. He walked into the main entrance and all the way to ER without seeing a soul😳 No security, no doctors, no nurses, NO HELP at all!!! What's going on over there?
