I have had some back adjustments as preventative treatment but recently threw my back out and they were very accommodating to get me an appointment quickly. “Want to go to the best massage place in southern Maine? Go to the Zen Spa. I have an issue with my left shoulder and right knee and hip, and the pain is now GONE! They will ask if you want hard pressure, and I opted for medium in general and hard for my painful shoulder. I've seen other reviews mentioning language barrier issues, but I didn't have a problem as long as I didn't try idle chit chat. I believe they use traditional Chinese massage techniques, which i personally tend to prefer. Bella asked me throughout if I was ok with the pressure and the heat of the stones, etc. She's the best! I've been there once before and had a different therapist who did things slightly differently, but it was still fantastic. It's best to call or book online, as it is difficult for the therapists to make an appointment for walk ins when they have clients. It's a small, no frills place, but it's clean and nice. Prices are very reasonable.“
