I'll be 51 on the 15th which leads me to my only complaint(to myself), that I waited this gosh darn long to buy my workhorse, the #5 Jack plane!!! I have an early series type 2or 3 Stanley bedrock that I would have gladly have traded in for the Lie-Nielsen #5 Jack plane! They really are a game changer and worth getting! Now if I can only afford more ?

Fantastic company! Their tools are second only to their customer service. I paid for overnight shipping on my order, which USPS promptly dropped the ball on. Lie Nielsen went above and beyond to get my shipping refunded! I will definitely be purchasing from this company again.

I don't use hand tools often, but everything I've ordered from Lie-Nielsen has been in tip top shape and better than advertised. Whatever you expect and have heard from them, crank it up to 11 and that's what you'll receive.
Their customer service is always knowledgeable and helpful, shipping has always arrived well before the stated date and has only taken 2 days, they quoted me a 2-4 week restock time on a back order item and mine shipped out in just a week.
My ONLY disappointment is that they discontinued the dovetail box you get with the #51. I understand that it's not economically feasible to ship every... read full review
