About Northern Light Mercy Primary Care
Northern Light Mercy Primary Care is highly praised for its compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare. Patients have experienced excellent care from the moment they arrive, with friendly and understanding staff who make everyone feel welcome. The team works closely together to provide thorough and personalized care, often going above and beyond to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction. For example, a young patient undergoing oral surgery received compassionate support from staff who treated him like family, with one medical assistant even snuggling with him until he woke up, which meant a lot to his worried mother. Patients also appreciate the professionalism and clarity of the providers, with doctors explaining medical information in simple terms and listening carefully to concerns. Despite some challenges, such as appointment wait times due to a provider shortage, many feel the team is helpful and attentive. Care providers like Dr. Ian Corbett and Dr. Beverly Vood are noted for their kindness, thoroughness, and willingness to listen. Overall, Northern Light Mercy Primary Care is valued for its caring staff, knowledgeable doctors, and dedication to patient well-being, making it a trusted choice for primary healthcare.
We have had very good experiences with most of the doctors we've seen, with the occasional problem, but those are usually resolved fairly quickly. Our real problems have been with administration. At one point we showed up 20 minutes early for an appointment, with the appointment card filled out by their staff, and were turned away because their computer told them that we were supposed to be there two hours earlier. Not acceptable! Currently we are dealing with a new phone system at our primary care office which no longer allows us to call the office directly but sends us to some call center somewhere. Just this morning we tried using the phone to renew a prescription, and after being on hold for 20 minutes, we finally hung up and are now being forced to drive three towns away to visit their office in person just to ask for that in person, because there is no other way to get through to them. The doctors are great, the administration sucks! Whoever made the decision to change the phone system over to some call center, and remove the option to talk to the office staff directly should be fired. They have no concept of the problems they have created for ordinary people just trying to do the simplest of things.
My son just had oral surgery in the Lunder surgery center. I am more than grateful for the amazing team working hand and hand with me, my son, my family, and my son’s dentist to provide the best patient centered care I have ever seen as a healthcare professional. I was a nervous wreck and the staff treated my son like he was one of their own. They went above and beyond to make him as happy and comfortable as possible, which was not easy as he is only two having surgery. One medical assistant (I wish I had gotten her name) snuggled with my son until he woke up and we were able to go back and be with him. As a mother who was so worried he was going to wake up confused and all alone this meant the world to me. That is the kind of compassion that can’t be taught. Thank you all so so much! 1000/10 stars
