A Knack For Nails

I needed to treat myself out for a little birthday gift - I was not disappointed!Parking is very limited; I believe you can fit maybe 4 cars. The building is shared with a hair salon, these two business do have their own spaces separate from one another.These good American ladies are old school so they use a file to shape the nails. Yes they do have an electric file but they prefer to do things by hand. This is very refreshing.I had Michelle do my nails and she did a fabulous job! She was very thoughtful - she had a couple of warm rice bags so my hands were not cold. She was very pleasant to converse with.For a full set of acrylic nails it cost me $40. This is definitely the best nail place I've tried in Central Maine (or maybe even all of Maine). I got a pedicure from Linda and it was great! Sugar scrub, nice foot mask, choice of lotion scent, and many polish color options! There was even a nice view of the river from my chair.

Never had a manicure in my life and after seeing the fabulous job they did on my daughter for her prom, I thought I would give it a try. Daughter had acrylics and they were done exactly as she asked - perfect, workable length and have lasted a very long time. Plenty of compliments on them and very durable. I just had shellacs as I have my own "Longish" nails to work with. Came out great and will be headed back in 2 weeks. Lots of useful information. Highly recommended!
