Wish I could go .5 star more. I love ,love Salud. Best workout classes in the area, affordable, variety of times, great showers, supportive environment, class variety. Best deal for all that you get.
Things that could improve:
- a bench/chairs when you’re waiting near the shower so you don’t need to sit on the floor In line.
-vanities to do your make up and hair. As a 6amer I don’t want to hold up the others in line for the shower. Could even put this in the normal bathrooms.
-I think instructors could do a better job greeting and knowing beginners/new combers. This can apply to classes that are your first in general from your first ever to 3 months...read full review
I took a relaxing Yoga class while visiting Portland. The facility is clean, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped for Yoga and Pilates.
They have mats and props aplenty, showers, and a no shoe inside policy.
Shoes are removed in a vestibule before entering.
I recently started my workout journey again because I’m getting married soon and needed a little motivation. I took Christina’s 7 a.m. strength and conditioning class at Salud, and it completely changed my outlook. I usually shy away from group classes since I can’t always keep up, but Christina made me feel so comfortable and confident from the start.
I’ve taken several classes at Salud, but none have ever ended like hers — she wrapped it up with a short meditation that was honestly so grounding and motivating. What she said really stuck with me. I’d absolutely take more of her classes, even if it means waking up at 6 a.m. again!
