The son knows how to run the business but the father who I presume is Peter does not run it the way it should be. Came in on an appointment to file some W2s only to find out I made very little and it wouldn't be worth it to file. I spoke with Peter's son who told me to come back next year and gave me full understanding of my taxes and income from my job. When only spending just under 30 mins I still asked Peters son if I owed him anything and he said "No don't even worry just come back next year and we'll take care of you" upon leaving Peter then asked me if his son charged me anything I said "No he actually didn't which was very nice of him" Peter then asks if he can charge me a "Consultation fee" which seemed appropriate at first until he asked for $150 for not even 30 mins of his son's time. Peter also owns 2-3 dispensary locations making him plenty of income ontop of his tax business. I then explained to Peter I was tight on money at the time and was unable to pay $150 but I would leave a good review and come back next year. Peter then asked me "well how much is in your bank account?" That crossed a boundary that I was not comfortable with and came off as very greedy to me. I then explained I only had enough for rent and my insurance. I then left knowing I was not going to come back to a business that's clearly run by a greedy Jewish father. Peters son is great and is the example to lead by. Peter if your reading this I did not appriciate you probing my personal finances especially when I was in a tight position. Also $150 for not even 30 mins and a couple clicks of a mouse? .......

Peter has been doing my taxes for 27 years. I haven't lived in Maine since 1994 but have continued to send them to him. He is very thorough and just an all around great guy. Thanks Peter.

Pete is a great accountant. He is very friendly, thorough and most importantly fast. He gets you in and out quick without feeling rushed. The woman at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. If you are waiting to see Pete she makes conversation to help past the time. Not that the wait is ever very long.
