About Cancer Care Center at Central Maine Medical Center: Infusion Care
Central Maine Medical Center's Cancer Care Center provides comprehensive care in a healing environment. The two-story, 52,000-square-foot facility houses an infusion center, state-of-the-art equipment including linear accelerators for radiation therapy, and a laboratory. Patients also benefit from a satellite office of the Dempsey Center and various supportive services. While patients generally praise the exceptional care provided by the doctors, nurses, and staff, some have noted long wait times for appointments. These delays are attributed to staffing challenges, a common issue in healthcare today. The hospital acknowledges these difficulties and is working to improve the patient experience with the construction of a new center near the Auburn Shaw's.
I really must tell everyone what a beautiful team of staff and doctors and just everyone at the center are an absolutely beautiful group of people! They make me feel relaxed and loved while I am going through my journey! Love everyone of them! They sure make my journey alot easier! Thank you to all of you and God Bless!
I was a patient recently at Central Maine Medical Center in lewiston. I was sincerely dehydrated and all my electrolytes and everything were a mess. I was given excellent care have to be admitted to the second floor and two. The doctor that took care of me was excellent he explained everything I would mention his name but I don't think I'm supposed to. First time in my entire life I had a male nurse his name was Jay he was fabulous I couldn't have asked for a better person. He took all my concerns and worries to heart and got it to the doctor and had the doctor come speak with me. In my entire life and I'm 66 years old I've never had I'm sorry to other people but I have never had anybody treat me with so much respect and dignity as this young man Jay did we need more people like him thank you
I complained on Monday how long it took to finally see a doctor and I still cannot believe how long it was, however once we were admitted the doctors and nurses and other staff people could not have been any more wonderful. They were attentive, kind and professional.
