About Sewall House Yoga Retreat
Sewall House Yoga Retreat, located in a historic 1870 home listed on the National Historic Registry, has been hosting yoga retreats since 1997 from May to October. My Sewall House experience was simply lovely and peaceful. Donna was a delightful host so welcoming and warm and a wonderful yoga teacher. The rooms were comfy and tastefully decorated.....Our chef Thames created delicious dishes for us too! Can't wait to go back!
Located in a sleepy little town, Sewall House offers an exuberant experience. After a beautiful and scenic drive from Bangor airport, you arrive to a home, a sanctuary— not simply a building that could exist anywhere in the world. From the moment I stepped through the front door, to when I regrettably left and shut it behind me, I was treated like family. My bedroom was light and bright, with a very comfortable bed, a small writing table, and a rocking chair. The shared bathroom offered plenty of hot water and great water pressure too. I am not a regular practitioner but booked a week here based on how much it is praised. Everyone is correct. Donna runs a beautiful home and experience and for any level of yoga you are trying to attempt she is there to help you out the full way. I hope to come back next summer if I can.
