Additionally, Michelle Griffin from the Ellsworth office is known for going the extra mile, especially for pre-buying #2 heating oil for the upcoming winter. Customers also appreciate the helpful and personable staff who handle contract questions and ensure paperwork is always up to date. Just finalized our condo's pre-buy of #2 heating oil for the upcoming Winter. Took a lot of back and forth. Kudos to Michelle Griffin of Dead River's Ellsworth, Maine, office. Michelle really went the extra mile on this one, which is my decades-long experience of all DR's frontline personnel. On the negative side, there are two red flags of which DR heating oil prebuy customers need to be aware. First, your prebuy does NOT protect against a surcharge being levied due to tariffs on oil imported from Canada, Maine's major supplier. I had some questions regarding my LP and Oil pre-buys for 2025-26. I spoke to Lee, who was respectful, helpful and personable. She took ownership of some contract issues that required amendments. Fixed them and answered all of my questions. Thank you Lee!
