In early December 2024, my 93 year old mom began hospice care with CHANS while a resident at Thornton Hall. From the first meeting with an intake nurse, until her passing in early March 2025, each person treated us with such compassion and understanding, making an incredibly difficult situation much more bearable. The level of care and attention they provided was truly exceptional, ensuring that not only my mom felt supported but the family as well. I can't express how impressed I was with the skilled and compassionate care of everyone who came to our home from CHANS as my father was in hospice and dying. They not only demonstrated professionalism and stayed on top of every detail, but they also did their jobs with a sensitivity and care that helped our family tremendously during one of the hardest times in our lives. I can't recommend CHANS enough.
CHANS called the day I got out of the hospital for a broken neck last week. A therapist came the very next day and she is fabulous. Very glad she will be coming twice a week as I’ll be laid up for about 3 months. My husband had help from CHANS a couple years ago too after knee surgery and that was also very positive.
