The Kennebec Company recently installed a series of its Simply Kennebec semi-custom cabinets in our new-construction home. Even the semi-custom line is not inexpensive but it is not stratospheric either. Dylan designed a great set of cabinets, offering sensible options and describing tradeoffs. The wood selections and grain matching are wonderful. Customers are welcome at the workshop facility to see their project in progress, and the cabinetmakers are knowledgeable and forthcoming about their processes and the build characteristics of your choices. Ir was a pleasure to work with a company with such a stream lined and efficient process. We appreciated the very easy to understand quotes and invoicing. Dylan was very patient in working through our requests and made two visits to the home for planning and measuring. A complicated part of the cabinetry squeezed into an understair area was perfect and exact at installation. He added great value with his design ideas and now that the cabinets are in place, we see how many subtleties and details were included.

Our first Kennebec Company kitchen was in a Federal period house in Massachusetts, nearly 40 years ago. We were so pleased with it that we brought them back when we moved to a slightly older house in New Hampshire ten years later. In both cases, the cabinetry was designed to complement the look and feel of the 200 year old dwelling, and in both cases we were delighted with the outcome.Fast forward to the present. We are now in Maine, enjoying our third Kennebec kitchen. Over the time we have dealt with them, the people at Kennebec have all turned over, the manufacturing processes have changed, even ownership of the company has changed, yet Kennebec has managed to... read full review
