I'm sad this place is closed, sadly I feel like they started to give up. Honestly if they had the funds, they should have just relocated. The customer service wasn't the best, the location was horrible, and everything was outdated. I know it's privately owned, but I saw this coming. Well as a review on a closed facility, I'd highly recommend Spa world to anyone looking for this kind of experience, but BETTER and cheaper (with Groupon).

Like everyone says, this is in an abandoned mall. What people don't say is that it adjoins the Security Square Mall, an open and healthy mall. Also, the Best Buy that closed next to it is now an AMC Theater. Anyway, here's news - the mega church, Set the Captives Free Outreach Center, has bought the Seoul Plaza ... the abandoned mall! They have signs in the window of every abandoned business saying what will go in which shop (Adoption services, chapel, etc.) once construction is "done." Anyway, I didn't actually see construction, but allegedly the church isn't happy Seoul Spa is there and operating. Patrons of the spa told me that the church had access to escalators removed, so the only way to get to the spa (which is on a second floor) is by using an industrial elevator. So, who knows what the future holds for this odd "church vs Korean Spa fit use of a mall." Only in America! (With respect to safety, I went during the day and plenty of people were parked there. A Cold Stone Creamery is in the "good" mall, not far from the entry of the future church/Spa! Also, AMC patrons are not parked too far away, so it seemed safe to me. Spa patrons told me they have never had a problem at all hours of the day). Anyway, the spa is nice for its size and the restaurant looks clean and nicely set up. There is a fitness room which seems well equipped, two fooseball tables, lots of chess tables with game pieces, and more relaxing chairs around. The men's wet area has one room-length cold pool, one hot tub (seats 8 maybe) and one warm tub (same). It has 5 stand up showers, 4 sit down showers (traditional Korean), a steam room and a sauna with coals. The coed dry area has 4 hot rooms, one cool room and one ice room. My favorite was the Himalayan Salt Room. There are clear salt bricks on the side, which are neat, but the best part is the floor! It's covered in salt granules! There are mats on the floor, so when you lie down, the salt granules fit to your neck, head, back and sides! It's very nice and relaxing! There is also a sleeping room (dark with mats on the ground), a TV, and multiple massage chairs that require a dollar to operate. There are also other chairs and magazines around the main coed room (as other posts explained, you are given pajamas when you enter, put your key in the shoe locker, give that key back, and get a new key for the locker room locker - you wear those pajamas in the coed section and are naked in the gender specific wet areas). Anyway, as Korean Spas go, it's smaller than Spa World, bigger than Riverside Sauna/Spa, and overall a great experience. Oh, last point: they do not give you a razor or toothbrush like Riverside, nor do they offer q-tips and hair gel like Spa World. This place is basics only - but at least you can buy stuff at the desk and the pajamas look cooler than those at Spa World! BTW THEY HAVE CONFIRMED THEY ARE CLOSING JULY 15 2019. THE CHURCH BROKE THEIR LEASE.

A new friend from my gym had taken me here but she failed to mention the whole part about having to be completely naked! Haha. Be prepared! She played it off like she thought she had told me but I would have remembered something like that! lol The place was hard to get to. This mall is abandoned and under "construction" so we had to go all kind of crazy hallways and elevators and road maps to get there. It also seemed a little dirty (considering it was a bathhouse and all). I've never been to one of these though so maybe I'm just being snobby. The baths area was ok and where we spent most of our time. My friend said the other rooms weren't really worth getting dressed for and checking out so I just followed her lead. We didn't try the food but it looked decent. I was surprised to see a lot of girls my age there the day we went since I figured it would be mostly an older crowd for some reason. Bring a water bottle with you because you will sweat a ton and it's good to stay hydrated. They only offer little paper cups at the water fountain. There's little plastic stools to sit on when you wash your face and stuff but they're not really meant for girls with big bottoms so it was a little uncomfortable. No Groupons , either :(

There is only one reason to come here, the body scrub/massage package!! The first time I came here a couple years ago, I was bored and didn't see the point of coming back, I wanted a massage for my birthday and thought I would try another body scrub, as I had one years ago at a different Korean spa. I soaked in the hot tub for a half an hour, as other reviewers recommended, the body scrub was a half hour followed by a deep tissue massage. You have a towel covering your face and man junk, so there is no need to feel uncomfortable about being exposed. I would describe the body scrub as very precise and professional. The massage was great too, and wasn't a rub down, but more deep tissue pressure points, he even added those suction cups that you see athletes use, on tense muscles areas. Afterwards, he washes and rinses you off, I felt like a king! I highly recommend!! Make sure to bring cash for a tip, as you can't add a tip using a credit card.

When at the Security Mall drive around towards Burlington Coat Factory. When there you'll be able to see the Seoul Spa sign. The mall is being redone so it looks abandoned but simply follow signs to the spa. Inside the spa is beautiful. Probably a little different to most since they ask you to be fully naked in the gender specific rooms and to wear their uniform in the co-ed part. But- if you can put all that aside the spa is beautiful and does wonders for your body and mind. They ask not to have phones in there so I couldn't take pictures but the Himalayan salt room is gorgeous! I would call just to make sure they're open as the new mall owners are trying to kick them out, but the more patrons they get the less likely they'll be kicked out so if you've ever wanted to go now is the time!

This spa is a traditional Korean bathhouse (jimjilbang). That means they have several co-ed saunas with various themes, and then separate ladies and men's bathhouses that have various baths and saunas. Additionally they offer scrubs and massage services for extra fees (on top of the initial entrance fee). We just moved from Dallas, and this place is similar to the King Spa in Dallas. BUT King Spa is huge and super crowded, but this place is smaller and way less busy, which is actually really nice. The last time I went with my husband, there were just a handful of other people there, which was nice. A couple of other things to know: 1) Scrub Service: You can add on a scrub service, where you get completely naked, and the attendant will exfoliate your body from head to toe using these scrubber gloves. It's super thorough, and a little uncomfortable because you are completely naked. I was concerned it would hurt, but it didn't hurt at all, maybe was a bit scratchy. I was AMAZED at how much dead skin came off. I wouldn't recommend doing this all the time, but I think I will do the scrub service once a year (end of winter) go forward. 2) Massage Service: I got a combined scrub and massage service, and it was the BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD. I get massage once a month at least, and this was the best one EVER. 3) Restaurant: There's a place in the spa to get Korean food, yum. 4) Nakedness: The bath-part of the spa is completely naked. No one else is uncomfortable about it, just be mentally prepared. 5) Bath Towel: They give you PJ type outfit to wear in the sauna so you don't get your own clothes dirty, and 2 little towels to use in the bath. I recommend bringing your own bath towel for getting ready after using the spa. 6) Run Down Mall: The spa is located on the second floor of a run down, fairly empty mall. Just follow the signs posted to the spa. It looks like the spa is closed, but don't worry, it's open! I highly recommend this experience and hope you try it out!

The place seems sketch when you enter the mall, but once you get into the spa it's a totally different world. This place is my sanctuary. It isn't the Ritz, but it's clean, not overcrowded, relaxing, and even the food and bubble tea is good.

Ok for the area and the price -around $30 for entrance fee, scrub down + massage + facial: additional $80. Bring flip flops separately as you will lock up outdoor shoes in a locker when you get there. Womens and mens spa section is separate. There is a common area for both to mingle in an area with different room saunas (Himalayan salt room, jewel room, cold room, charcoal room, etc) also a restaurant to eat together. The spa section has a dry sauna, steam room, 3 pools but no jets were running in the pools :-( There is a separated room/section where you get the body scrub, massage, facial. Showers are lined on the perimeter of this main spa section. Everyone was naked..don't know if you are allowed to wear bathing suits but most were naked -oh well...hope ur not shy. :-)

I frequented Spa world previously until I heard about Seoul Spa. I decided to give this place a shot as it is much closer to me than Spa world. While the bathing area and lounging area are small the size did not take away from the wonderful reception and experience we had at Seoul Spa. It is well maintained and I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant and lounge both containing traditional raised floor seating. The food was delicious and I couldn't get enough of the shikae. I signed up for the scrub and massage which was fantastic and left me refreshed and relaxed. I highly recommend Seoul Spa.
