The Humane Society of Carroll County is a wonderful place with a beautiful location and kind people who genuinely care about animals. They offer a fantastic spay and neuter program and have a clean facility. Visitors appreciate the cat playroom and the helpful staff, who are accommodating and supportive, especially during times of need. Many have successfully adopted cats and received assistance with their pets. The organization also hosts events like flea markets to benefit the dogs, where the staff and community members work together and help each other. The team is involved in the community and focused on rehoming pets and reconnecting lost and found animals. When a new kitten was brought in to be neutered, the process was quick and affordable, including a microchip. The vet tech was thorough, polite, and professional. The kitten recovered quickly and was back home with his dog friends the same day. Overall, it is an amazing place with caring staff who support both animals and the community.
Please! Do yourself a favor and become a foster home. The HSCC makes the process easy and they provide all the supplies to get you started then you can help the Humane Society by covering future litter, food etc...purchases OR you can contact them and they will give you everything you'll need. So all you need is love and time!

I have adopted three cats at different times from HSCC, one being a foster fail. My interactions have been nothing but positive, and it is evident that the staff care deeply for the animals.
My daughter and granddaughter brought in their ferrets for a kinda like a show and tell. Explained how to take care of the ferrets and all the kids there got to hold the ferrets. After the ferrets was hamsters. Before the ferrets was the bunnies 🐰. Also had a cat room you can go sit in and pet a cat or kitten or two. Very enjoyable experience.
