Dr. Zimmerman and the rest of the team at Ruxton Animal Hospital are absolutely world class. They have handled my two difficult cats with ease, one with severe anxiety and a long bite history and one with terrible vet anxiety. We originally went for a behavioral consultation and are moving the rest of our cats to this practice as well. Today my longhaired cat, despite being medicated on the way, had an accident and it matted into her fur. I called and offered to re-schedule, but they said they’d be happy to help clean her up. All of the staff were so kind to her despite her being stinky and got her all clean, even taking into account her dislike of fragrances.... read full review

I bring all my pets here. 2 dogs (Pitbulls) and the dogs love it here. My 2 cats don't like going but they do like the staff. Everyone here is wonderful. Dr Z does a fantastic job running this veterinary practice. Best vet. Best employees.

Started off seeing Dr. Zimmerman for behavioral issues, and now she’s my regular vet. She’s been tremendously helpful in understanding and treating my dog’s reactivity, anxiety, and aggression - lots of improvement with a good combination of meds + force free dog training.
Seeing Dr. Z and staff for regular medical stuff (an ear infection, allergies, and paw licking) has also been a great experience. Her attention to not re-traumatizing my dog by offering anxiety medication, a likipad, blankets, extra time, ect, made treating the ear infection a breeze. She also looked at connecting physical symptoms to behavioral problems.
