Updating-12/13/23. We are now utilizing their personal trainers for our son and we could not be happier! Speed, agility, football. Keep it up Coach Cam!!The Edge Training Academy is like no other gym that I have ever been to. The facility and space offer something only typically offered to college athletes. This facility gives you the freedom to: combine multiple disciplines of exercise, play basketball, workout on turf, run sprints, do high intensity interval training, practice lacrosse shooting, and when the timing is right, bring the whole family to get the sillies out. Had such a great experience this summer with Speed and Agility training that was facilitated by The Edge. They arranged for Coach Coop to meet a group of the athletes in our neighborhood at the local field. She ran agility training twice a week for 5 weeks this summer. She was fantastic. We saw a huge improvement in our boys speed and endurance.For reference, our boys are 13, one a long stick defenseman and the other a goalie in club lacrosse.

We traveled from Chicago a few weeks ago for my 12yr old to work with Coach Marek at The Edge. My son had fun while being pushed in a very positive way. We'd make this weekly training if only we lived in the area.Coach Marek stressed proper footwork in dodging. This is key as I've watched far too many skills sessions where coaches allow kids to simply go through the motion.Shooting with Coach Marek wasn't simply about getting off a bunch of shots. Instead, my son worked on realistic dodging/shooting as well as step down shots with different release points from all angles on goal.Importantly, we walked away from the session with a lot of drills that are adaptable at home....read full review
