The process/language barrier made the whole appointment experience somewhat confusing though - she left me to dry my nails in front of a small fan before moving on to do another customer's pedicure, so I was unsure when I should be paying (at my previous salon, they always ask me to pay before painting so as not to mess up the polish). My friend also had a confusing experience - she initially wanted dip but they weren't able to accommodate her at our scheduled appointment time so with the wait cutting our available time short, she opted for a regular mani instead, during which the technician repeatedly tried to upsell her back to dip..“
